No, there’s no cost to use our matching service. We simply help connect you with the right trainer for your dog. If you decide to work with a trainer from our network, you’ll arrange and pay for sessions directly with them.

What is The Ethical Dog Trainers Network?

The Ethical Dog Trainers Network helps dog owners find kind, ethical dog trainers who use reward-based methods. Instead of scrolling through endless websites and trying to work out who is the right fit, you can send us your enquiry and we will match you with a suitable trainer from our network.

How does the matching process work?

Simply fill in our enquiry form and tell us a little about your dog, your location, and the support you are looking for. We then review your enquiry and pass it on to suitable trainers within our network, who can contact you directly.

Do you provide dog training yourselves?

No. The Ethical Dog Trainers Network is a matching service. We connect dog owners with independent dog trainers who are part of our network.

What types of training can you help with?

This will depend on the trainers currently within our network, but enquiries may include puppy training, adolescent dog training, reactivity, general training, behaviour support, online consultations, group classes, and more.

Are all trainers in your network ethical?

We aim to work with trainers who are committed to kind, ethical, reward-based methods and who put the welfare of the dog first. Our network is built around these values.

Are the trainers employees of The Ethical Dog Trainers Network?

No. All trainers within our network are independent professionals and operate as separate businesses.

How much does it cost to use your matching service?

Our matching service is free for dog owners. If you choose to work with a trainer, any fees for training services will be agreed directly between you and that trainer.

How many trainers will receive my enquiry?

We aim to share your enquiry only with suitable trainers who match your location and needs. We do not want owners to feel overwhelmed or contacted unnecessarily.

Will my details be shared?

We will only share your details with suitable trainers in order for them to contact you about your enquiry, and only where you have given your consent to this on the form.

What if I’m not sure what kind of help I need?

That’s absolutely fine. Many owners are unsure whether they need puppy training, 1-1 support, behaviour help, or something else. Just tell us as much as you can on the form and we will do our best to guide your enquiry to the right trainer.

What areas do you cover?

Coverage depends on the trainers currently within our network. If we have suitable trainers in your area, we will aim to match you. As the network grows, so will our coverage.

How quickly will I hear back?

This can vary depending on your location and the type of support you need, but we aim to review enquiries promptly and connect you with suitable trainers as soon as possible.

What if there isn’t a trainer in my area yet?

If we do not currently have a suitable trainer in your area, we will do our best to let you know. As the network grows, we hope to support more owners across more locations.

How does the network work for trainers?

When suitable enquiries come in, we aim to match them with trainers in the relevant area who offer the right type of support. Matched trainers can then contact the client directly.

Is membership paid?

We may offer introductory or founding member pricing at certain stages of growth. Full pricing and membership details will be made clear during the application process.

Am I guaranteed work if I join?

No. Joining the network does not guarantee a set number of enquiries or clients. However, our aim is to grow awareness of the network and connect trainers with suitable opportunities as enquiries come in.

Can I choose which services I offer?

Yes. Trainers can tell us which services they provide, which helps us match enquiries more appropriately.

Can I update my details later?

Yes. If your services, area, availability, or contact details change, you should let us know so we can keep your information as accurate as possible.
